Understanding the recruiting process

Posted on Wednesday, March 7th, 2012 at 6:13 pm

Construction Hunters has developed an eight step recruiting process that is crucial to placing the right individual with the right company.

The eight steps of this procedure are as follows:

  1. Research and Discovery: Finding out basic information about the client’s company and their needs
  2. Constructing a recruitment plan: Decide on a candidate list that would meet the client’s obligations
  3. Targeted Recruiting: Honing in on applicable candidates and their accomplishments
  4. Candidate Evaluation: Inform the client about the right individuals for the positions needed
  5. Process Management: Making sure that the potential candidate is on the same page
  6. Reference Checking: Each candidate’s references will be checked and contacted
  7. Offering the position: The official offer will be extended to the candidate
  8. Accepting the offer: Once the candidate accepts, we will continue monitoring their shift

Construction spending falls by 0.1%

Posted on Friday, March 2nd, 2012 at 6:27 pm

Spending in the United States construction industry fell by 0.1 percent in January 2012. This is the first time that the spending has dropped in more than six months.

The overall spending in January, adjusting for seasonal changes, was recorded at $827 billion. Although, the spending in January had declined, the December spending in the industry rose by 1.4 percent. The drop in federal and nonresidential construction are two reasons why the amount of spending in the first month of 2012 saw a decline.

Even though the spending is down, employment in the construction industry is rising. In January, there was an increase of 21,000 job opportunities. There are slow signs of improvement across the board in the industry, with residential real estate markets on the incline as well.

The construction industry needs able-minded executives to implement successful strategies. Please contact the executive search and management consulting firm of Construction Hunters by calling 214-989-6846 if you are interested in executive recruitment services and their benefits.

The importance of executive recruiting specialists

Posted on Thursday, March 1st, 2012 at 7:19 pm

Executives will benefit if they are connected to recruiting specialists so that they can be connected to their specialized market.

As executives expand and grow in their career, they should also be increasing their network. Relationships with recruiting specialists are both beneficial to the executive as well as the specialist. Executives are able to stay up-to-date on opportunities in their industry, and recruiters are able to stay in contact with executives for future job opportunities for their clients.

Once executives reach a certain level of success at their company, they will start earning recognition by recruiting specialists. Relationships with these specialists should begin before they are needed, therefore a mutual trust and understanding can be developed. Feedback and communication are essential to the growth and stability of these network connections.
