A new CEO began at Stringfellow Memorial Hospital last week. The hospital had been without a permanent CEO since October, when the previous executive stepped down.
The announcement of the new CEO came just before final approval was given for the expansion of the new surgical facility. The expansion project was announced last May. Construction will begin soon and is expected to take nearly 12 months to complete. The construction project will include the upgrading of equipment and surgical rooms as well as the addition of more surgical rooms.
The new CEO previously served in the same capacity at Vaughan Regional Medical Center and has stated that he plans to stay at Stringfellow “for years to come.”
